Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; Matthew 21:1-11; John 12:12-19 TBC Book Two, Chapter 79 Excitement heightened among the people when they saw Jesus and his disciples leave Jericho. The people traveled with them, for Passover was drawing near. When they reached the Mount of Olives, Jesus called two of his disciples. “I want you to go into that village,” he said. “As you enter it, you will see a donkey and its colt. Untie both animals and bring them here to me. If anyone questions you, just say that the Lord needs them and you will return them later.” The two disciples entered Bethphage, and right away they saw a donkey and its colt tied near a doorway. They felt funny just untying them without getting permission. And just as they had feared, people noticed and someone shouted, “What are you two doing, untying those animals?” With their hearts pounding, one of them answered as Jesus had told them. . . .
