Luke 19:1-10, TBC Book Two, Chapter 77 Jesus walked through the streets of Jericho with a large crowd behind him, and that crowd was growing larger by the minute. News of the miracle traveled faster than the crowd itself: “Jesus has healed a blind man! It happened just now by the city gates!” People left what they were doing and raced toward the crowd. Were these rumors true? Had Jesus of Nazareth really healed the blind man? Everyone wanted to see Jesus and the man he had healed. But not everyone would get that chance. By now the crowd had gotten so large that there was no way to see him. This frustrated many people, but no one more than the wealthy tax collector Zacchaeus. Now Zacchaeus was a very short man. But he was also very determined. I may never be this close to him again, Zacchaeus thought. There must be some way. . . . Suddenly he had an idea. Zacchaeus stopped running toward the crowd. There was no use trying to get closer. There was only one way to get to see him. . . . (See THE BIBLE CLICKS, Book Two, Chapter 77, for the rest of the story.)
