Luke 10:1-24; Matthew 11:25-30, TBC Book Two, Chapter 48 While the twelve continued their journeys, Jesus met with his other disciples and told them he had a mission for them, too. He planned to travel throughout all of Galilee and Judea. But first he needed more workers to go throughout the region ahead of him to prepare the people for his coming. Jesus called 70 of his other disciples. “I want you to split up into groups of two. Then you will spread out and travel ahead of me. I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. So listen carefully to what I want you to do. . . . “Heal those who are sick and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’ In any town that does not welcome you, tell them you have shaken off even their dust. Know that whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects both me and Him who sent me. . . .” Later, after returning from their mission, excited and full of joy, one of the 70 exclaimed, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name!” Jesus replied, “While you were gone, I was watching, and I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning. . . .” (See THE BIBLE CLICKS, Book Two, Chapter 48, for the rest of the story.)
