230 Making Peace with God

Leviticus 1:1-8:36; 25:1-55, TBC Book One, Chapter 44
From ancient days, the people of the earth knew that a heavy weight held down their souls, a feeling that they just could not shake. No matter how hard they tried, they all did things that made them feel guilty. And thoughts of the Creator left them feeling unworthy.

Their earliest ancestors had told them it was not that way in the beginning. The Creator had once been their friend. But something severed their friendship. Trust had been broken. It would not be easy to regain. A price must be paid. Until that payment could be met, people would need a peace treaty with the Lord God who had made them. . . .
