223 ‘Let My People Go’

Exodus 10:1-12:30. TBC Book One, Chapter 37
By now Moses and Aaron were both well-known among the Egyptians. . . . They had another message from the Lord: “How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go or I will send massive swarms of locusts.”

The brothers left without waiting for his reply. Immediately, the officials stepped forward to reason with Pharaoh. . . .

So Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron. “You may go worship the Lord your God,” he said. “Now tell me, just who will be going?”

Moses replied, “Everyone, along with our herds.”

“No!” Pharaoh said. “I will not permit that. Only the men. Now go.” Then he ordered that they be driven from his presence.

As they stood outside the palace, Moses stretched out his staff. . . .
