196 Parting as Friends

Genesis 13:1-14:24, TBC Book One, Chapter 10
Abram breathed a sigh of relief as he left Pharaoh’s court. He could now return to the Negev in Canaan with his wife. . . . While he was in Egypt, he had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. . . . During their time in Egypt, his nephew Lot also had acquired great herds and flocks and tents. Now the land where they sojourned could no longer support them both, and quarreling arose between their herdsmen. . . . So Lot pitched his tents near Sodom, [while] Abram lived in Canaan.

At this time a conflict arose between some of the tribes living near Sodom and Gomorrah. . . . Then the four conquering kings captured the people and took them as their slaves, including Abram’s nephew, Lot. . . .
